Mindfulspace is not a conventional therapy practice.
It’s a safe and open space where you can slow down, breathe, and simply be.
How I Work – Mindful Space
Mindfulspace provides collaborative mindfulness coaching and counselling in the Randstad region, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht. My work is grounded in informed consent, transparency, and mutual respect, ensuring that you always remain in control of your personal journey. We define goals together and move at a pace that feels safe and realistic for you.
My approach is practical, solution-focused, and efficient. Many clients experience meaningful progress within 4–6 sessions, aiming for clear and functional outcomes without unnecessary delay. At the same time, there is no fixed trajectory and no long-term obligation — you are free to continue only as long as it feels supportive and valuable.
To make sure we are the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation with no commitment. This gives you space to ask questions, share expectations, and explore whether this style of support matches your needs.
Flexible Sessions Across the Randstad
Mindful Space offers flexible counselling and mindfulness sessions throughout the Randstad, designed around your comfort and sense of safety. Sessions can take place:
- During a mindful walk outdoors
- In a quiet café
- At your home
- Online via secure video call
- In a privately rented office space
The environment is chosen together so you can feel relaxed, open, and supported wherever you are in the Randstad area.
Accessible and Affordable Support
I believe that mental well-being support in the Netherlands should be accessible and affordable. Fees are fair, transparent, and discussed in advance, so there are no surprises.
Mindful Space is about meeting you where you are — emotionally, mentally, and physically — and helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Team of One

Kiren Kaur-Nienhuis
Mindfulspace Founder / Counselling Psychologist / Connected Parent / Hodophile / Polyglot / Bibliophile / Seeker
I am a counselling psychologist with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and a genuine passion for understanding how our thoughts and emotions shape daily life. Alongside my formal education, I have naturally stepped into coaching and training roles over the years, supporting individuals in finding clarity, balance, and confidence. My work combines evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness and a holistic perspective, creating space for both practical tools and deeper reflection.
I work with individuals experiencing stress or burnout, parents, students, expats and multicultural families, and those navigating anxiety or life transitions. My approach is reflective and client-led — sometimes solution-focused, sometimes exploratory — always personalised to what feels right for each person.
Outside of my work, I find balance in nature, the gym, meditation, and books. As a parent in a multilingual and multicultural family, I value curiosity, perspective, and the small everyday practices that bring calm into busy lives. Mindful Space is created as a warm and safe place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
You’re welcome to reach out when you feel ready.
